LICENSING OVERVIEW

If you are looking to get licensed for the first time, I'm sure you have lots of questions. Many training facilities make it more difficult than it really is to get a guard card or firearm permit. Below is a quick overview to show you the steps you need to take to get the California Guard Card to work as a security officer in California.

GUARD CARD (REQUIRED TO WORK SECURITY)

STEP 1 - Take our Guard Card Class.

STEP 2 - Get fingerprinted via live scan for your background.

STEP 3 - Submit your application online or by mail with licensing fees (credit card online).

STEP 4 - Wait for your license.

FIREARM PERMIT (REQUIRED TO CARRY A FIREARM)

STEP 1 - If not already licensed as a guard, you need to take the Guard Card Class. If you are already licensed, skip to step 2.

STEP 2 - Take the Firearm Permit Class.

STEP 3 - Get fingerprinted via live scan for your background.

STEP 4 - Submit your application by mail with licensing fees.

STEP 5 - Wait for your license(s).

We will guide you through the entire process. We have all required paperwork, internet to submit your online application and we'll even mail your paperwork for you. In an 8 hour course with us, you shouldn't have any more questions.
